LCD screen brightness is dying

Hey all, 1st time posting here.
So i have compared my droid to a couple newer droids and my screen seems to be darker than theirs even though all of our phones were set to auto brightness. Of course LCDs dont last forever and it depends on the amount of use the screen gets, but it just bummed me out that its fading away soo soon. Makes me worry about the home dock since it keeps the screen on all night.

What are you thoughts?
Are any of your screens like mine?

i've had my droid since release day and my screen is still bright and shiney. maybe it was the lighting? or maybe it's becuz my screen is off all night with the app dockblocker.
