Viewing forwarded emails

When I forward an email, the email is received with all text intact.

However, when I look in my sent box to verify that the email I forwarded actuall went out, none of the forwarded forwarded is visible.

Same da*n happens when I reply to a message. The recipient recieves the full message string but when I check my sent box for the message, the only thing displayed is my response - everything else is gone.

Any fixes??

Also, does anyone know of an email app that will check messages more often than the minimum of five minutes offered by the standard Android email app.

Geez the standard email app bundled with the Droid is really crap.

You're going to have to be more specific about the email client you're using. My sent emails show up in both gmail and K9.

Thanks for the reply JSH - I am using both gmail and hotmail and the problem I described shows up in both accounts. When I go to the sent mail folder in either of these accounts to verify my reply message was sent, the only text visible is the text I typed in - all of the previous text is missing.

Just checked my gmail "sent" label and I have complete threads including my email and what I was responding to. (Not the easiest to decipher in terms of a conversation but that's because of some rather unique ways I have to forward my replies from outlook to gmail and label them appropriately.)

Anyhow, perhaps you have a setting in gmail that is truncating your sent mail in replies. I'd recommend going to gmail on your computer and checking the settings. As for hotmail, I can't help you. Haven't used it in a long time.

Again thanks for the suggestion but this problem is occuring across several email clients which leads me to believe the problem cant be with ALL of them. Gonna give tech support a call and see what I can get from them. Dont have high hopes but who knows???

Is it possible that our conversation is confusing "sent" emails with "forwarded" emails? Don't think I've ever "forwarded" an email from my phone, though I've replied to a number of emails and the original email is in the reply which goes to my "sent" folder. It might be that "forwarding" attaches the email as an attachment rather than in the body of the email itself.
