If you use Dolphin Browser, you can go into settings and change your user agent from Android to Desktop, and web pages you visit will render in their desktop browser mode.

I second this. I do this. Plus chat in vertical mode is sketchy, but if you hold the phone in landscape the chat bar seems to stay on the bottom right side. I actually never tried to chat on that, but it seems to work.

As for the person to define facebook for us all... haha priceless (read!)

A little more involved than Dolphin or xScope, but you can now stop the auto-redirecting to mobile sites in the stock browser as well.

How to disable mobile sites in native browser

Thank you! I've been looking for this since November (not the whole time obviously ) and the way it's worded I looked right past it every time.

There's something very wrong with the touch site, because when I go to the "Friends" tab, there is a box with an arrow pointing right. I assume this lets me go to the next page of the friends list, but I can't click it! Rotated the screen, tried a different browser, still can't click it. So i'm stuck looking at the first page of my friends list

I think there is something wrong with facebook altogether. I've been having issues with both the stock FB app as well as Bloo, and issues with both the touch and mobile versions of the website. I've also been having issues with the FB app on my ipod touch. Only time it works right for me is when using it on my computer.

+1... personaly I dont like dolphin or xscope but this works great! (i found that while trying to get to the full facebook site)

    -Open browser
-Type "about:debug" in the address bar - press "go" Nothing will happen, this will only enable more options in the menu
-go to menu -> more -> settings
    -scroll down to "UAString"
    -Select "desktop"

i hate it. when you go to the full site, you have to be careful or it's easy to end up on touch again. you can't do a lot of things using touch

I was wondering about this myself. Sounds like they'll get to it or they won't. I won't hold my breath. Ack.
