    Device Protection Plan questions. Insurance against theft or damages.

    When I call to order a phone, the salesman wants to sell me something called a Device Protection Plan, sold by National Cellular Owners Association, www.MobileDeviceProtection.com

    They sell it for $50 for one year. They state that if the phone is stolen from your locked house or car, destroyed, damaged by accident, they will repair or replace the phone if returned to them. No water damages allowed.

    Does anyone have any background on this service or any comments that would help me make a decision on whether I should buy this service or not?
