Thumbs down Auto BCC when sending emails

    Hi,

Whenever I send an email, I BCC myself to make sure it actually gets sent. Both Thunderbird and the BlackBerry (my old smartphone) allow me to set an "auto BCC" preference so I don't have to enter my own address each time I send a message.

As far as I can tell, there's no way to do this on the Droid. So:

    (1) Is there a preference I'm missing?
    (2) Should I use a different mail app? If so, which?
    (3) Am I hosed?

I'm using an IMAP account which I host myself.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

Excellent question. I would love to know the answer myself. I've been searching for a way. I'm wondering if perhaps there are better programs for IMAP email than the resident one, much like Handcent is free and much more feature rich for texting than what comes with the Google software.

Did you ever find an answer for your bcc question?

You wrote this 2+ years ago. I just got my Razr and hope there's a positive answer by now. Is there?
