iTunes tells you how to do this. You have to burn the songs to a CD and then rip them back off.
there is a free app called doubletwist that will remove drm from any itunes songs

It's not free but I use Tunebite and it works GREAT. It will convert any audio into any format, same with vids, and will even rip audio from video. Has TONS of settings including a volume leveler (i.e. will make all conversions the same base volume).
