Google Talk Sound Notification Question

Hi, anyone know if there is a way to receive a sound notification in GTalk while chatting with someone and you have the window open and active? I receive the sound notification that I received a new message if I close the chat window, but not while open. This can be annoying since I need to be looking at the screen to see if I have received the next message in a chat. I would look like to be able to look up from the Droid and be made aware when a response has arrived without having to close the gtalk screen.
