    Converting Java to Dalvik to run on Android Tablet

    I read that there is a way to convert Java programs to run on Android...supposedly converting them to a dex file (Dalvik) is how it's done. I can't seem to find the program that does this? I have a grading program our school district uses for teachers to do their grading through the district database. I want to be able to do my grades on my Acer Iconia A500 tablet but need to convert the Java program to a format it can handle...

    Could someone either show me where the program is or if you are able to do it I'd appreciate it...
