Education apps
Today I received an email from a fellow educator of young children about apps that were available on Amazon for Android, I didn't look closely enough yet to see if they were actually optimized for phones, yet. There is almost nothing in the Android Apps store that seems appropriate. But...being new at this and a little afraid to order out of the market...does anyone have experience with apps on Amazon?
Thanks

What types of apps are point for? There are many, such as word skills, math skills, puzzles. Even games help hand eye coordination.
I have a Super Why app my toddler likes. He also has various puzzle apps that help with memory and patterns. Both kids love Blast Monkey which helps with geometry and angles.
Sent from someplace, and with something that you need not worry about.
Don't get your tightie whities in a bunch if you don't like my humor or get offended when I skip putting smiley faces all over. IF you cannot handle online comments and get bent out of shape, go home.

Apps
I haven't seen those in the Android market place but I will look them up. Toddler and preK apps would be what we are looking for.

This is what my 3yo is into.
Angry birds
Where's my water
Can knockdown
Flick golf
My first puzzles
Gravilux
Doodlejump
Superwhy
Color & draw (by tipitap I think)
Zebra paint
I had a few more such as a math one and another word comprehension among others, but their popularity has waned. I had more puzzles. I'm sure I have some others on the ipod but never bought them on Android.

Three yr old...just right. I'll note.

someone reminded me of another app, Ant Smasher. Sound effects are eww or funny, depending on your point of view, but all of these help with fine motor skills, which at this age, is more important. We homeschool so we are bigger on anything that are manipulatives and reading.
If you have an iPod, get TocaDoctor. even my 7yo loves it but there is no Android app for it.
