Any of you know if there is any truth to, "turn off auto updates on all the apps you've downloaded in the Marketplace, and your battery will last longer!"

I would think only because you could then wait to do updates when connected to wifi. That's my guess and I'm sticking to it.

Maybe if they are turned off it won't keep auto checking for updates? Just speculating though, I haven't heard of it either way.

I wouldn't think that auto checking would be that often... Or impact the battery that much... Either way, I turned all 72 of them off... So now I'll give it a week or so and see what's what! Thank you for the ideas though! I like what I learned about Wifi!
