I can root it, install stock Android, and have free mobile hotspot.
Otherwise it's not as good as my Droid.

Ok. I'm sure they'll unlock and have it rooted in no time though

X2 superclocked beast
I finally went to the Verizon store and checked out the Nexus and I'm pretty impressed. The wife wants a physical keyboard so I'm going to purchase the Stratosphere for her. I won't touch any Motorola phones until they release an official statement that they are going to have unlocked boot loaders on all there phones.
No offense taken sir. We actually picked up the stratosphere and its nice. The wife loves it and so do I. I really cant recommend any other keyboard android phones right now accept this one. She uses the phone for basic use. Its also pretty snappy as well. I would assume your nit a fan since this phone might be a little too basic for you?
I've been rocking the D2 since August, 2010. I hate it. I've vowed never to purchase another Motorola device, ever, unlocked or not.
I had to replace the keyboard, and the GB update was complete garbage. They're pushing out too many phones to even care about keeping their current lineup in good shape. Also, I know they're going to "slow development" on new phones, but I don't believe it. Motorola is big business, and they rarely keep their word.
