Droid 2 Global as a Sat phone?

Hi newbie here. Got myself a Droid 2 Global couple of months ago. I spend alot of time outdoors, in places with little or no service is there any way of using the phone as a Sat phone? I''m trying not to buy a 2nd phone just to use in the field. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks
