Droid camera complaint

One of the things that convinced me to purchase a Droid was the nice panoramic camera function. Suddenly, after I downloaded the new software package from Motorola, which was being pushed so heavily, that panoramic function, which, essentially I paid for, was taken away without my permission. The screen now is narrowed. I would like to get back the wide format that I purchased initially. Is there a way to do that?
