When is The Next Update Due?

Hi Droid Forums,

I was on this site every day about a month back and got my Droid all tricked out and I have been loving life with the Droid. I am travelling with 2 less devices, I have my work and personal life in the palm of my hand.

I do remember there is supposed to be another update sometime in January. Does anybody know when it will be issued?

There is speculation of the week of the 22nd, but I'm not holding my breath.

January 22nd, or there about, seems to be the general concensus. There's a couple of threads discussing the when and what of this.

Just don't get your hopes up that way you aren't disappointed if it doesn't happen...

Why in the hell isn't there a definitive answer for this?

2.1 is floating around, rooted phones have it, the N1 has it, why doesn't Google have a date for when the update will occur? Do they not believe in deadlines over at Google?

Google has released the SDK. It's now up tp moto to optimize it for the Droid and push it to VZW. Be patient

I think we went 1 whole day without this question coming up. If you have any experience with Blackberry you understand that updates will happen when they happen. It might be around the 1/22 or it could be later. Nobody knows.

Acceptance and patience are the key here. If your too impatient then root your Droid so you can have it now.
