    While I use Google calendars for most appointment/events, there are a few I would prefer not to post up to the internet (private and business related). I'm hoping there might be a third party app out there that I could use.

    You can create a separate calendar within the Google calendar and keep it private. I do net see any other way of doing it in Droid.

    many options to sync outlook with Droid

    Visit www.syncdroid.net to find a chart of software that syncs droids with Outook. It lists what it syncs (calendar, contacts, notes, tasks, email), whether it syncs with USB or wireless, autosync or not, price (many free), and an overview of each software title.
