Clearing browser history from search "shortcut"

I know how to clear the regular browser history, by going to google, settings, clear saved searches. I've also reset or unchecked everything on that screen (safe search, query, history, recent locations, device location) and can't seem to clear the shortcut history.

The one I'm talking about is either the google shortcut widget or the search history that appears when the search button is pressed at the bottom right of the screen.

Any idea?

Have you tried settings then hitting the search then clicking clear search options?

This is what I see:

Safe Search

Query Suggestions in Search Box

Search History

Clear Saved Searches

Save Recent Locations

Clear Saved Locations

Allow use of a Device Location

Nothing under more settings for "Clear Shortcuts"

no he means from the home screen. follow those directions from the home screen. and in the future refrain from beastiality searches....haha
