    sell my droid 1 and buy a droid x from ebay or best buy, would verizon let me just switch the phones considering they use the same plan?

    Yes I did it. Had a fascinate bought a Droid x on e bay and activated it no problem. Quick and easy. :-) just make sure listing says clean esn.

    Whatever phone you use doesn't matter as long a your contract fits the phone. *And* I imagine they would be happy to see you get one that would use the new LTE tiered data.plan that is rumored to be coming about.
