Handcent.. old messages up when new ones in

So, I searched to try and find an answer for this from the gazillion Handcent questions, but didn't find an answer. I love Handcent but have one re-occurring problem... Whenever I receive a NEW text message, the pop-up shows an old message from another person and older thread... I then have to open that old message, press back, then find the new message and open it... Hpe that makes sense and anyone can help me!

I have the same problem. on the notification bar it still shows the message even after i finish reading the message on handscent. it's annoying.

Try an uninstall and reinstall of Handcent... see if that helps.

I use handcent all day every day. I would uninstall and make SURE the your stock messaging app has it's notifications disabled. then reinstall handcent and check for updates. See if that fixes your issues

Mine does the same thing and I'm still not sure why.
I have uninstalled/reinstalled and even done restores (due to something unrelated) and it doesn't change.
So I wouldn't bother uninstalling/reinstalling.
