so there's no way to remove the default email account without resetting the phone??? i set my phone up at the store with my wife's gmail account....and have since created my own. i want her's off my phone & mine set as the default. i hate to reset my phone because i'll lose all my apps & settings i've spent so much time creating.
ANY IDEAS????
I am having the same issue as the prev person who asked, but I created a new gmail account so now i have two on my phone but one is active and the other one (the primary one) is not registering because I canceled it on google.
I go under manage apps and all the other things are on there that i have added but not google apps. I am getting extremely frustratedIs there somethin I am missing?
thanks
I created a new Gmail account because I didn't like the old one. To get everything switched over, I think you have to do a reset of the phone. That's what I ended up doing anyways. The problem is that the market doesn't understand you're the same person, so if you lose your apps. That was frustrating. But then again, I had a lot of apps I didn't use. Just make sure you export your contacts to your SD card first.
ok, i've seen this same tip on two different droid forums, but my Moto Droid has no Clear Data button for Google apps. The button isn't grayed out, it's simply not there. Tried a reboot. Nada.
I'm running 2.1, which wasn't out yet when this tip was written. Could that be the reason? Or is there something else I'm missing?
I don't see Google Apps anywhere when I click manage applications. I need to wipe out the original email account as well.
I'm having the same issues. But I refuse to reboot. But to help you, once your in the manage applictions. Click the menu button, then filter, then select all and they should be there. I have had my phone for 7 months and I dont want to loose all my apps so I'm stuck with both email accounts apparently. GRRRR!!!!
