Creating an app. for another forum?

This might be cheesy But I own a few sugar gliders and I'm on this forum... Much like this one, only for sugar gliders. Was curious How hard it would be to create an app for my droid phone of the forum? Kind of like the one we have for this website. Does it cost money... because someone was telling me it costs $100 some dollars to develope an apple app... hoping it's not the same for droid. If someone could help me I'd greatly appreciate it.

The site owners/admins DID pay to use the Tapatalk client/app for this site, but I couldn't tell you how much. It is free to install the forum plugin for the site so you could start that route because MANY users of the site probably already own the full application. There is also another newer client called 'Forum Runner' that is very similar to Tapatalk but cheaper for the end user (I think it's only $1 or $2). It is also free to install on the forum so you might want to look into that and maybe poll the users to see what they would like.

The simplest/cheapest place to start, that I would suggest is to enable the Tapatalk (and/or Forum Runner) clients on your board and track the usage. Also you could consider skining your forum with a mobile skin and see what traffic is like. Though the easy of that will depend on what forum system you are using.
