Interesting. You're probably right about the LTE - although I can't imagine there's very wide coverage at this point.

That is true. Its not widespread outside the US. But I'm sure it will get there soon.

Verizon is coming out with a 4G LTE world phone. The HTC Vigor. It will be 4 G only in the USA, or Canada I guess. But when you travel to Europe it will be 3G. I am assuming since it is a CDMA phone, it will also be 3g In Asia. I will be going to England in November, and Korea, Thailand, and Australia in January. The only problem I had with my droid x. it was not a world phone. When they came out with the droid 2, it was to late. I already had the droid X. So now I was waiting for Samsung Nexus prime. Not a world phone. Pass. THe new Motorla Razr.. not a world phone. Pass. So I will be looking at the HTC vigor. Also when you get this phone is should have two sim, one for Lte one for gsm. If the phone is unlocked you are better of buying a sim in the country you are going to and use a pay as you go plan. For example in England you can get a sim for 10 pounds sterling. That allows 200 minutes of talk and 1 GB of data. On Verizon you get 300MB for $125, plus your calls will cost you $2.00 a min. So you do the math. Same in Australia, who do have LTE network by Telstra, however it on a different spectrum than verizon. But you can get the 3 G pay as you go sim for $ Aus 10, which gives you I believe 200 calls to the US. 400 calls to Local and 500Mb of data. So I hope this helps.
