    Is there an app to convert Droid to an IR remote?

    Just wondering. Can I some how use my Droid to control my Sony Amplifier? I saw some things in the store that were Remote Controls but I don't think that was what I was looking for.

    Or am I asking a bit much in this case?

    Yes actually there is, just probably not powerful enough to transmit the strength and distance needed.
