yes. you just can't compose messages from gmail under a different account (in any situation).

This is an awesome setup ... I'm assuming it will push email by setting this up then? Regardless, I like using just the gmail app instead of the email.

in order to enable POP3 with Yahoo, you need to have a paid account, or use the Asia Location method found on this forum.

Another way to do this is set up your POP account to forward all you emails to your gmail account. I do this because I usually leave outlook express (I know, I should use something better ) open on my PC and it pulls down all my e-mail, so if gmail is checking it, it won't find anything. Doing the forwarding ensures that all the emails get to gmail.

And add me to those who would like to be able to change the from address on the Gmail app when you are composing an email like you can do on the gmail website. Usually I just use my Droid to reply to messages, so it sets the correct from address, but occasionally I do send emails from it and it would be nice be able to change it.

640k, or anyone who knows, once you set this up, is there a way to do a Mark All As Read? Since I already had mail in the other account, it pulled in 200 messages. Not really a problem, but I don't want to have to "read" each one in the GMail app since I have already done so in other e-mail app.

I hope there is an easy way to do this. I have two other accounts I would like to do this with since the GMail app seems to load the messages much faster than the standard.

hmm... i don't remember gmail marking all items as unread, but you can manage all of that through gmail.com much easier.
