Seidio Extended Battery... anyone with past experience?
I'm waiting for the Seidio extended battery to be released, and was wondering what people's experience has been in the past, with Seidio's Extended batteries for other cell phones.
Overall I find the Droid's battery to be excellent, but there are times when I'm away from an outlet for extended periods of time, such as when my family goes to an amusement park all day, or when we visit Yosemite, and a longer life battery would come in handy.
Anyways, overall I've loved whatever I've gotten so far from Seidio, which has been limited to different cases, so was wondering about people's experiences with their batteries.
Thanks!

any extended battery will have to be a decent step up in mAh to be worth the extra cost. usually a jump of 200-300mAh won't buy you much except a bigger hole in your wallet. other sites have reviewed similar batteries, only to find the 10 - 20 minutes of video watching, didn't justify spending the extra $50-$60.

There ok just buy a spare andcarry it arouns

I've never owned an third party battery but agree with the guys up above. Also in order to get a substantial amount of the battery life increase they usually have to make a bigger battery and a replacement battery cover. Depending on your preference you may not want to bulk up the already pretty sleek droid. Just something to think about!

I'm a big seidio fan boy. I love there Innocase + Clip holster combo that they sale, I've had one for my last 3 phones, including droid. I got an extended battery for my Storm, however I'll be honest and say that I didn't see a lot of improvement with the slim line. Seidio did take it back and let me get an extended battery + door, and that thing was awesome, easily lasted 30-40% longer than the stock blackberry one.

Thanks for the feedback, everyone!
bwhite, I agree, I've had great success with Seidio.
As for carrying around an extra battery, not really for me.
It's not that often I need extra battery life, but when I do, I'd prefer to be able to simply slap on a larger battery at the beginning of the day, and then not worry about it for the rest of the time.
Carrying around a spare battery is a bigger hassle to me, then the minor bump in extra weight a extended battery would add.
Again, personal preference.

Whats the scoop on how many Ah it will be and will it need another door or still fit in the existing space?

Well, my past experience with Seido extended battery is excellent. I had used their extended battery for MotoQ before. The battery lasted me a week before I charged it....
The cons of it is the added bulk size... For my droid, I will get their extended battery (the one without the extra bulk) and maybe buy two of these those extra long hours at work.
