Minor Update for the Nexus One! (FRG83D)

Google’s flagship phone gets, yet, another OTA update. It’s more along the line of bug fixes and patches but NOT Android 2.3 (Sorry).
The Build number for update is FRG83D and is approximately 1.3MB. Here is what you can expect:

• Froyo Framwork (Patched)
• New Version of Android Market (v. 2.12)
• Fix for Google Email (Don’t mistake it for Gmail!!)
• Stock Recovery (Patched)

So some small little fixes, which are always welcome in my book, you can be expecting to your stock Nexus One devices. As for Gingerbread, lets wait a couple weeks and see if Google announces anything new news regarding that topic.

And she isn’t Gingerbread. This 1.3MB update file moves a stock Nexus One from FRG83 all the way up to FRG83D. There is nary a hint of anything related to holiday cookies as this updates focuses on patches and updates.

• Updates to the core and framework JARs
• Updates to the Dalvik VM and Webcore libraries
• Updates to the Email, Google Services Framework and Market packages.
• A couple of other very minor patches

Why, oh why, does Google feel the need to tease the world with the next iteration of Android? I understand that this wasn’t their intention; but, come on. It’s like giving us those fake lottery tickets for our birthday.
