Wifi calling minutes?

Okay, since most of us are on Verizon but slowly contemplating leaving to t-Mobile. I just noticed something yesterday, my father has a Titan 2 on t-Mobile's prepaid network that means $30 a month for 1400 minutes but no data but when I jump on my wifi however I get a notification that states "if you use an app to make my wifi calls they count those against your voice minutes! Does anyone else think that verizon might try this too... After all they are after money they are not going to improve our network any time soon.

I just signed the new Verizon family share plan, when i upgraded my phone. The new plan has unlimited talk and text. So no i don't think they will.

Here's what I was thinking even though you are using your own wifi connection they are going to try and rape customers by claiming that the client is still using them and try to stick it to the customer with overages and charge us.

SO FAR SO GOOD...
I have Verizon and A.T. & T. DSL. and a NetGear Router, and we use WiFi on our phones all the time...
Best Part.
I live in an area with poor phone coverage, but with my WiFi set up, I have 4 bars on my phone... (Fantastic)
I pay for several gigs each month for two Droid's... It's not like I'm sticking it to Verizon.
I figure it's my phones, my Router, and A.T.& T.s Modem.

wow seriously? they cant be real.
there has to be a law out there against something like that. that just seem cruel business practices.
Paying to use online calling from a phone network provider.

come on, there should be some kind of petition against that.
