This is another reason why I stopped buying Motorola phones. I had the OG Droid, bought my wife a Droid 2, hated the Moto Blur skin, and switched to the Thunderbolt. Been purchasing HTC phones since then, except for the 2 Galaxy S3's that I bought for my sons and my wife ending up buying a Razr Maxx because she liked how thin it was.
I felt bad when I heard my Droid X was not going to get ICS, but I guess newer model phone owners would have been downright pissed.
My solution to my ICS craving was to buy a sub-$100 ICS tablet, which I rooted and used.
I figure any "upgrade" from Motorola or Verizon for this Droid X would only make it worse, so I'm better off sticking with it as is. Its still fairly usable and functional.
