Back in August, Motorola filed a complaint with the ITC alleging Apple is violating 7 of their patents. The ITC has voted to investigate the allegations. If the ITC rules in Motorola's favor, this could potentially be a critical hit to Apple, and would dwarf the Apple/Samsung suit. The ban could theoretically cover every model of iPhone beginning with the iPhone 3GS, every model of iPad, every model of the iPod Touch, the Mac Pro, iMac, Mac Mini, MacBook Pro, and MacBook Air. The iPhone 5 was not included in the original complaint as it had not been announced yet. None of the patents in question are standards-essential patents.
