Unless Verizon's network starts having problems, I see no way this will go any where, though the effort is admirable. A majority of VZW's customers don't care about anything but network quality. Whether it's directly related to these types of practices or not, Verizon's network is, generally speaking, the most reliable in the USA - and while their 4G network doesn't exactly meet the same reliability standards as good ol' evdo rev.A, it's the biggest true LTE network, and the fastest as well. The network is the most important commodity to the carriers, especially now that there's a lot of phone disparity. While I don't like Verizon's behavior, I can understand it completely - whether it's strictly due to greed or not, they're trying to protect and maintain their #1 commodity.

True, but thing about little startup company that has to abide by these rules.

Sickening really. They buy all these frequencies from cable because the government says cable doesn't have them anymore, and rules are created for these frequencies and no one abides by them. Why bother.

So does that mean that Apple will never have the same speed 4G devices that VZ does? It seems that either they keep their devices locked and subsist at lower levels, or will have to give full access to their devices eventually if they move anything up to block c if I'm understanding things correctly.
