the business ethic is easy. subway doesnt sell subs, and give away cookies. if verizon feels its extra, then thats that. to think they have that mentality you described, or that any one of these posts will do anything in the long run, is delusional. its just people taking shots at other peoples opinions. mine, you figure im at home all day tethering 50 gigs on mindless data thinking "psht, wont get my free internet." ironically even though im in the discussion, i hardly fall into the category. ill tether things that are buggy in my phones browser, a major transaction, or something of the sort.
whats the biggest issue anyways? people using it as their primary source, and slowing others? so...an overload in data will be fixed by a paid for overload in data?
