At first the SuperUser icon is different...its more like a ninja android...(though it still worked and did the same thing)
...then when I installed bugless beast...it change the icon to the original ninja.

Software2Tech.com Android Root Apps: Updated Universal Androot (V1.5.3) was Release and Available for Download
That's the site I downloaded the app from...and tells you how to do it.
But as for backups...I did mine using Rom Manager/ClockWorkrecovery.
never mind , i should have refreshed the page before i asked that last question.
And your phone is a Droid 1, right? I presume so from your icon, but I want to make sure. I went to the site and it says
Nexus One (2.2),HTC Hero (2.2), HTC Desire (2.2),Motorola Milestone (2.1),Motorola Milestone XT701 (2.1), etc
No mention of Droid 1, although I gather that from the Milestone reference.
Well, it's worth a shot.
Yeah its a Droid 1
I was a little skeptical at firsst...but the milestone is the same...so I did it...
...and Im glad I did..
just used on my droid way faster that using sbf's and recoveries to get root. one question what if i was running a custom rom and unrooted? would it move me back to stock?
