    problems with android sdk setup help!!!

    this is the messing i am getting:

    WARNING: Java not found in your path.
    Checking it it's installed in C:\Prohram Files(86)\Jave instead.



    ERROR: No suitable Java found. In order to properly use the android developer tools, you need a suitable version of Java installed onyour system. We recommend that you install the JDK version of JavaSE, available here: Java SE Downloads - Sun Developer Network (SDN)

    now, that beng said i really dont know what to do with this canyou please help me. i have windows 7

    after i download it. which package docineed to install in the sdk options? do i need to download all of them?

    Really depends on what you want to do...if you are just looking to be able to open a shell on your pc to connect to your phone...you don't need any of them. You just need to use adbshell.

    If you want to develop apps, then you will need to download/install sdk packages...
    Probably the 2.2 API8 rev2 or 2.1 API7 rev1...but you want the one that corresponds to the firmware that you are running or developing for.
    You also should get the Google API's and samples.

    If it says obsolete, you probably don't need it.

    *Just in case*
    If you need help with adbshell and/or linux commands, I recommend googling it and checking out the many write ups and guides that are on the forums.

    OP I made a new post that has each step you need to set up the sdk/eclipse outlined, if you still had any questions.

    You can just install the entire package with every sdk version. When you make a new project you specify which version you want to use.

    Step by step guide to installing Java, Android SDK, and setting up Eclipse.
