when can we see cpu temps in 2.2 like before

with all these great developers out there on one has made a tasmanian droid kernel for 2.2... whats going on am i the only one who cares about cpu temps and not battery as much... can someone please make one and complete froyo for me,, thanks

yeah this has been bugging me also. i am very controlling over my phone. i like to know everything that is going on and not knowing the temp of my proc. is absolutely annoying the hell out of me. i hope this gets fixed really soon

It's not that people haven't tried. The temp monitor is compiled into the kernel. With Froyo, even when that support is compiled into the kernel, it still doesn't work in the ROM. Apparently Froyo changes the way the temp monitor interface works, and no one has figured it out yet.

I am sure that at some point, someone will have a breakthrough. But until then, we can thank Google for the fact that it doesn't work. It has to be something they changed.
