In fact, I care more about what are the "disadvantage" of the aosp rom. Can someone step in to share your opinions?

For us to compare, you going to have to tell us which stock ROM and which AOSP ROM.

frg83d vs froyo (aosp). I built aosp froyo on a ubuntu 10.10/64 bit environment. When I compare the components in /system/framework, I find my aosp build are bigger. Don't know why.
Gonna go out on a limb and say you compiled in Debug Mode. Which would make the end result more bloated because the extra debug information.
Ima gonna be honest, I dont know enough to hang.....lol. Not on the coding side.

I'm sorry I cannot. I have never compiled a rom. I am a programmer though that's why I had assumed your build was larger because of debug mode. I notice in the apps thats I compile if it's set to debug I get lots of extra crap.
when you build it their is 3 different build types example "lunch Sholes-eng"
"lunch sholes-usr"
for a non debugging rom you'll want -usr
im not sure of your exact lunch syntax but -usr will work
then use "user"... koush's repo has 3 different builds for the d1. user, user debug and some other one i forget what it was.
