1. When saying what phone or rom you have, make sure to include the word rocking or rockin as a verb in the sentence.
Stay below 120°F and you'll be fine. I dont have a link with me, but google "lithium ion polymer batteries" (sometimes called li-po in the rc world) for more details. Even tough you may find info for rc batteries, all li-po batteries work about the same. I know the same safety precautions(for the battery) apply for my rc heli and my phone.
Same with the phones temp. But I haven't seen the phone get as hot as the battery. I also have SetCPU's profiles set to step in at 115° to cool things down. Hope this helps.

yes please be careful... my battery almost caught fire, no joke. it melted where the terminals are and it jumped + & - which smoked violently until i threw it out my window.

I recently had a bad experience with my phone also. I am a welder and I was using my welding machine to charge my phone. Anyway it fried my battery one night when I was charging it at my house. The temp was 129!! So now my extended battery is gone. Case and point high temp will destroy the battery and the device.
No no I had it plugged up to the machine and the phone in my jacket. 129 burned my fingers. I took the battery out and left it alone for a while. Now it has the regular battery and I haven't had any problems.
