I was just wondering other than CyanogenMod and AOSP roms are any other custom roms open sourced (ie SS, BB, Sourcery, UD or any others)?
yes I realize SS and UD are CM7 based but do they open source their edit?

02-21-2011 09:42 AMAs said they all are, dont think there are any devs that hide things. Maybe Im wrong but I think it has more to do with the size of the team and the amount of extra time the dev has.
Bigger team = more time to work with other rom makers. CM is fairly large I think, or the dev just has a lot of time, he puts out updates none stop. Also helps that CM is very stock looking, small add ons so its not Pre built so much as a base line with tools -

02-21-2011 09:47 AMCM has way more than a few add-ons. Their source code is highly edited.
Cyanogen builds the base, his team port to different devices. It makes for faster output for sure.

You want to go to the Custom Rom area or Android Rom area and poke around a little.David
