Menu Font color help

okay i edited styles.xml to change the font color of this menu which worked perfectly the font is white and when pressed it turns black just as it should.



but if you hit more and get the expanded menu the text is black on black. Does anyone know where this is controlled within styles.xml ive looked through the entire thing and cant seem to find it.




any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks for that it actually helped with something else but the strings listed in that thread arent in my styles.xml for some reason. There isnt even anything close.


ill have more time to dig through it tomorrow while at work ill see what i can come up with.

Alright...sorry about that. I have changed it before, but forgot the exact string to look for. I found that post, and thought it was what we needed. Anyway, this is what you need:

<style name="Theme.ExpandedMenu" parent="@style/Theme">
<item name="listViewStyle">@style/Widget.ListView.Menu</item>
<item name="windowAnimationStyle">@style/Animation.OptionsPanel</item>
<item name="background">@null</item>
<item name="itemTextAppearance">?textAppearanceLargeInve rse</item>

You need to change the ?textAppearanceLargeInverse to just ?textAppearanceLarge.

PS. I dunno why it has a space on Inverse, but it doesn't when I go to edit the post...

whats weird is none of that string is anywhere in the styles.xml i have. if you dont mind taking a look i attached my styles.xml it would be greatly appreciated.

rename it from styles.zip to styles.xml

ill have more time tomorrow while at work since i don't have anything to do this week i just have to be there.

Hey man, I just started looking at this a bit ago, but I've been up for a long time now and it's really not sinking in. LoL What rom is this from? I've never seen a styles.xml quite like it. Granted, I'm not exactly an expert, but I've probably looked at at least 8 - 10 different ones, and this is kind of unique. Was the original format like this too? It's really confusing to read when it isn't line by line... I'll have another look at it later. Till then...good luck.

this is how it is originally thats also why im having problems with it too..

its from a Droid Concepts (Woodyman) rom thats still beta right now. The rom's core files are all based off CM 6.1.2.
