update.zip Installation Instructions


Installation Instructions [SPRecovery]
1) Download the ROM of your choice
2) Rename to "update.zip" and place on the root of your SD Card
3) Reboot into SPRecovery
4) Select "install" from the SPRecovery menu
5) Select "allow update.zip"
6) Select "Install update.zip Depreciated"
7) Let it install your ROM
8) Press power button to return to main screen of SPRecovery
9) Select “reboot system now”
10) Let the ROM load
_____a. If the ROM is deodexed then the first boot will take a long time, every other reboot will go by fast
_____b. In my ROM, the screen will be black because the bootanimtion doesn’t repeat or loop, just be patient it will load
11) Enjoy
12) Post some Positive or Negative feedback on the ROM



Installation Instructions [ClockWork]
1) Download the ROM of your choice and place somewhere on your SD Card
2) Reboot into ClockWork recovery
3) Select install update.zip
4) Select install zip from SD Card
5) Navigate to where you placed the ROM
6) Select "install"
7) Your ROM will be installed
8) Reboot from the main screen of ClockWork Recovery

Nandroid Installation Instructions


Installation Instructions [SPRecovery]
1) Download whichever ROM, you are going to use
2) Unzip the ROM and you should have one folder
_____a. Double check to make sure there is not another folder inside that one
_____b. If there is simply cut that folder out of the current one
_____c. You should have one folder with the parts of the ROM inside
__________i. Usually system, boot, nandroid, sometimes data
3) Place that folder inside your nandroid folder on the root of your sdcard
_____a. If you don’t have a folder called nandroid on the root of your sdcard create one now
4) Reboot your phone into SPRecovery
_____a. Done by holding “X” and the power button
5) Use volume and camera button to scroll and select backup/restore
6) Select advanced nandroid backup
_____a. Make sure the (*) is next to each category [should look like following]
__________i. (*) backup BOOT
__________ii. (*) backup CACHE
__________iii. (*) backup DATA
__________iv. (*) backup RECOVERY
__________v. (*) backup SYSTEM
_____b. Then perform the back up, you may give it a name if you wish
7) Let backup finish
8) Press power button to return to main screen of SPRecovery
9) This is optional, but recommended for best performance
_____a. Select wipe data/factory reset
_________i. Scroll and select yes
_____b. Select wipe cache partition
_____c. DO EACH ONE TWICE
10) Select backup/restore
11) Select advanced nandroid restore [Then select CHOOSE BACKUP, AND CHOOSE THE ROM]
_____a. Make sure the (*) is only by system and boot [should look like following]
_________i. (*) backup BOOT
_________ii. ( ) backup CACHE
_________iii. ( ) backup DATA
_________iv. ( ) backup RECOVERY
_________v. (*) backup SYSTEM
_____b. Select perform restore
12) Let it finish
13) Press power button to return to main screen of SPRecovery
14) Select “reboot system now”
15) Let the ROM load

Installation Instructions [ClockWork Recovery]
1) Open ROM Manager
2) Scroll to the bottom of the list
3) Select “Flash Alternate Recovery”
4) Select “Ok”
5) After it flashes SPRecovery follow the instructions above.

hi sir, new android user here of motorola defy i just want to ask what is purpose of this application? i dont know anything from android unlike from symbian you can install .jar .sis but here @ android im having a hard time. i want to have many application at the same time many wall papers and compatible to all. i hope you can help me. thanks
