1. From the Home screen, select Applications.
  2. Select Email.
  3. If presented, review the End User License Agreement then select Yes to continue.
    If setting up an additional email account, proceed to step 4.
    If setting up email for the first time, skip to step 5.
  4. If presented, select Add account.
    If the Accounts screen is not presented, press the Menu button then select Accounts.
  5. Select the account type (e.g. Verizon.net, Gmail, Windows Live Hotmail, Other, etc.).
  6. Enter the following information then select Next:
    The email address used in the images below is only an example.
    If setting up a Windows Live Hotmail account, ensure the correct domain is selected from the Select service drop down menu.
    • Email address
    • Password

  7. If presented, select the appropriate option:
    If not presented, skip to step 9.
    • POP3
    • IMAP

  8. Enter the appropriate information into the following fields then select Next.
    • User name
    • Password
    • POP3 / IMAP Server
    • Port
    • Security type
      • None
      • SSL
      • SSL (Accept all certificates)
      • TLS
      • TLS (Accept all certificates)

    • SMTP Server
    • Port
    • Security type
      • None
      • SSL
      • SSL (Accept all certificates)
      • TLS
      • TLS (Accept all certificates)

    • Require sign-in
      Enabled when a orange check mark is present.
    • Use Verizon Premium PUSH service
      Enabled when a orange check mark is present.

  9. Configure the following Account options as apporpriate then select Next:
    • Email check frequency
      • Automatic (Push)
      • Never

    • Notify me when email arrives
      Enabled when a orange check mark is present.

  10. Enter information into the following fields then select Sign in / Done.
    • Give this account a name (Optional)
    • Your name (displayed on outgoing messages)
