Should I buy a used Charge for $70? If I root?

My OG rooted droid recently broke and I was thinking about buying a used 4g phone so that I can keep my unlimited data on Verizon.

I can get a used Charge for $70, would I like it if I rooted/overclocked?

I know it's no galaxy s3, but is it worth it to save money and keep the unlimited data?

Single core processor. Two friends are happy with the Charge.

I got the charge and my son now has it. I had no problems with it and he does not either. I would say that for $50 it may be worth it, depending on its condition.

It turns out that I can get a used charge for $42? Do it? Does the wireless tether work well once rooted? Any limitations?

you do not need your phone rooted to tether! I don't know why people only root to tether there's an app out called Foxfi it works like a DREAM works on stock roms and all. if you cant get tether to work all you do is turn airplane mode on then off and it will work there's also a Foxfi add-on to block. if you use sprint, boost mobile, att, and virgin mobile you will not be able to go to Google play to download it you will have to go right to the Foxfi website to download it they have blocked it from being used on thier phones due they want you to pay the $20+
