About LinkBacksI've had the Charge for a while and I've decided to root it and add a custom rom to it. I don't not know which firmwire I have (ED?) and do not know which roots and kernels are compatible with it.
My firmware version is 2.2.1
Kernel version: 2.6.32.9

you only have to watch what you flash if you start mixing parts, any full odin is fine.
you are on ee4 now but that really isnt too important until you find what you like. you want ee4 or gingerbread (ep1*) ed1-2 are outdated.
it would be best if you report back afterwards so we can advise on compatibility and install method if you dont understand from the dev's instructions or just need help.:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

09-10-2011 06:01 PMyes you can flash one over the other but if you use a cwm rom you have to make sure your kernel is the same build if its not included.
right now you can only flash ep1w gingerbread mods unless you have a full odin for ee4 or other gingerbread builds.
it gets a little confusing, if your not sure just ask.
