Altered Beast Rom

My husband and I did that to our Droid Charge on Friday. By Sunday night it lagged our phone so bad and drained our battery. We had the exact stuff on our phone before we used the Altered Beast. We even tried to reset the phone back to factory restore and it would not even work at all. It would not even let us do that at all. Off to the Verizon store yesterday and they replaced the phone.

I will not even think about doing any thing to my phone again. I would love to have fast phone and all that you have but I refuse to mess with it again.

unlikely your phone was bricked, you cant get back to stock using factory reset in settings, you flashed away the factory files.
all you had to do was flash back to stock.

its not verizons fault you messed up your phone, if they get it to boot and see that on there, they will bill you full retail for the replacement... rightfully so in my opinion...

How would you flash it back to stock. I searched everywhere to figure that out.

Also we never rooted it.

Errrr .... you didn't root your phone and tried to flash a custom rom? No wonder there was a major cf. You're lucky Verizon swapped out your phone.

They just reflash the phones they get they would never know if it was rooted or attempted to be rooted. But if you don't know what you are doing you should not even try.

see stories like this that just keeps me from doing anything to my phone... IE i have no clue how to do it so i don't try lol

Never got charged and they never found it. New charge when they swapped it and no issues whatsover. We rooted it to Gingerbread. I may go back to stock and try a different rom. Not sure yet. I am waiting for my Xoom to come back from being upgraded to 4g and I will be rooting that over the Xoom forum. :-)
