Root Charge with a Mac

My Charge will arrive tomorrow. I rooted my Droid in Dec 09 so I plan to root the Charge. I understand that Odin only runs on Windows, therefore, I need another tool.

Another member directed me to [PROGRAM] Heimdall - Open-Source Cross-Platform Flashing Suite (1.2.0 Available) - xda-developers

Has anyone else used Hemidall? If so, what are your thoughts? Pitfalls I need to be aware of?

What recovery system will run on a rooted Charge?

as far as "recovery" you mean, like, nandroid? well there is none that i know of. cwm has not been adapted to do it yet, you actually have to flash a cwm kernel to get cwm, and even if the "backup" hasn't been removed (some have the option removed, dont use it if not), it doesnt work and can do bad things if you try, or so im told. so the only recovery available that im aware of is samsung pst, which i dont know if it works on mac.
titanium works, but i dont think thats what you were looking for...
