Wow, that's a little harsh people! I rooted the phone I wanted to buy in the store and then took the 20 extra seconds to do a factory reset. Some of you are a bit delusional if you think VZ doesn't know about these forums and rooting. We actually have a good number of people on the forums who work at VZ. If someone goes in the store and erases system apps and/or bricks a phone, then by all means have at 'em. If not, take a couple of deep breaths.
@ the OP-Sorry about the attacks, people are usually much more diplomatic and supportive here.
I am laughing hilariously right now. I cant believe i never thought to attempt a root right there in store. Props to ya man!!

yea dude i just wanted to make sure I can root it before i dropped 300 on a phone.....plus i dont care what you...ppl at VZW or any body thinks for that matter....thank you for the people that backed me up and supported my ideas at the store =)
LIVE A LITTLE....grow a PAIR>>>>>>>lol
but for real i def need a ONE CLICK ROOT for the CHARGE ....please post new ways/methods to ROOT
From my experience Verizon doesn't exactly care about rooting one way or the other...trying it in the store on a display phone IS pretty bold though lol
Its really the phone MANUFACTURERS that disapprove of rooting, especially Motorola (for now lol)
I took my rooted, custom rom D1 in for an issue before for their opinion...basically THEY told me to actually try reflashing the rom, flashing a different rom or trying to go back to stock to try to fix it lol
it ended up I was right and it was a problem with their service anyway hahaha

Every time a phone is rooted, an angel gets its wings.
i think it is funny that manufacturers even bother with locking it down.
if someone wants to root, they are going to do it, no matter what. and they most likely will get it back to stock if they need to for warranty.
all the other people wont even bother with it. they wont even know what root is.
its really silly for mfg's to perpously lock their phones down. it is just putting off a BUNCH of customers (see motorola)
well, a locked boot loader has little relevance on root.
my d2g can be rooted with z4 and its BL is locked, where as the charge needs to be flashed to get root.... go figure lol
im not an expert, just pointing out personal experience...
