Email connection error

My email has always worked great on my phone, suddenly......it is not working and I get the error message of unable to connect.....this happens for both email addresses i get on my phone.

Why all of sudden is this happening?

I had this same problem a few months ago. After several hours of tinkering, deleting and re-adding the account, and assorted other things, I finally rebooted (shut down, and restart). The phone magically synced just fine after that, and have not had an issue since.

I'm not sure WHY it is happening but today, for the first time, I also receive the same error message that you received. I
Shut the phone down, turned it back in on, and all is well.

I have also quit receiving emails on hot mail only. I get "ERR authentication failed". I have removed the battery, shut the phone off, and updated roaming...nothing works. what next?
