Last night when I had done it I did it twice, once as a hard reset, then went in and did a factory reset with the wipe on internal storage, like I said I do not have the SD card in. But when its back up and running my Wi-fi router password was saved, bookmarks were saved, the upgrade to 5.5 was saved. Am I nuts? Right now the phone is sitting with the back off, and the sd card out of it, because I hate to get it all up and running if something is wrong.
Well I've commented in several threads recently that Google was getting more and more settings backup. I haven't done a reset in a few weeks now, well on the Bionic, and my wallpaper was saved and a few other minor settings, but my wifi router password was not saved. But the truth is I don't think you can do a reset incorrectly. Did your apps reinstall automatically?

No they didnt, and i just let the wipe take them off, I do have them backed up on my sd card.. really at a stand still with this.. LOL Yeah more than anything it was the router password that concerns me.

Well, this is a new one on me. But I can tell you that if this was happening to me, I'd go to the Privacy setting and redo the reset. It can't hurt and it will help confirm if those settings really are being kept by Google now.

    Good luck.

There is/was a bug related to Google restoring app/settings.
