I used the Forever Root app before updating and I am running 5.5.901 rooted without a hitch.
can i factory restore after using 5.9.901, just in case verizon comes out with a new update or if this update
causes more problems
Upgrading from Forever root 886, hopefully it works!

Sent from my Nexus in a Galaxy far, far away...
well, apparently for me stock, no root ota .893 + .901 leak = no network data. wifi is fine. so, should I, if its possible in the stock recovery, try to reflash the update? or do I need the one click return to upgrade path / fxz file? I've done sbf on d1 and dx, I assume its similar.
