It seems that all of Verizons LTE phones suffer similar data connection problems.

After I put gingerbread and a gb radio on my thunderbolt, I never had issues.

I think the data dropout issue occurs in weaker 4g areas when the phone attempts to do a seamless handoff to 3g.

I agree with that 110% - and hope that gets more publicity. Some people claim to have no problems, but clearly, as the article shows, there are people on every LTE handset that have experienced similar issues - ironically the Bionic seems to be the worst yet (and yes I had the Bolt early on).

The most frustrating part is VZW not only claims their LTE is the fastest (which it is), but also the most reliable, implying that it goes right alongside their rock-solid 3G network.
