The root exploit has been patched in the newest Moto phones. They are unrootable according to Dan R who created the root exploits for us.
I completely agree. But if Dan R, the person who created the original motofail exploit, says there aren't any known exploits, we're pretty screwed. And that's, in fact, what he has said.
Thanks for the feedback SamuriHL. I guess this will be my last moto. I may take the razr m back as soon as it arrives. What would you recommend for a non-tech moderate user?Originally Posted by SamuriHL
Sounds like a good plan to me. If I can hold out, I plan on keeping my bionic until it completely dies. Its done very well for me since day one.Originally Posted by SamuriHL
Yea, I'm DEBATING waiting to see the next generation of Moto phones next year. I suspect that these new RAZR phones are the last of the phones Moto had in the pipeline pre-Google. It'd be interesting to see what Google does with Moto next year. We'll see if I hold out or not. The money for a developer or nexus phone isn't small to me right now as I have some home theater ambitions that need some funding. So, we'll see what happens and whether I hold onto the Bionic a little longer. I mean, ICS, dual core, and rooted....not really a bad combination that we currently have on the Bionic.
