    .886, .893, .901 I know - what's .991?

At the Verizon store yesterday with a lapdock problem (actually dumass operator problem). I picked up a Bionic demo and noticed it was a 5.?.991 version. I checked another demo, and it was the same .991 version. The Verizon techie said that he thought that the .991 was reserved for demo units.

Anybody know what that Version is all about?

You know I never noticed what version the demo phones were running but you would think that because they have been in the store for so long they would have an older version and a smaller number like an .883 or something like that.

    Galaxy Nexus..... 4.2.1.. Jelly Bean

I think they just figure that 5.9.991 is a high enough version that they don't have to worry about an OTA update turning the phone into a non-demo model.

I think the demo firmware includes some self-running demonstration modes, if I am not mistaken. Things that you wouldn't want in a typical firmware since they would take up space such as demonstration videos.
